Chester Conservation Joinery, based in Gresford, operates around Cheshire, Shropshire, Wrexham and North Wales. We specialise in all types of onsite conservation joinery works.

Our Services

Our services include restoring external and internal rotten and decaying joinery in doors, windows and stairs. We do this by cutting out the rotten timbers and splicing in new timber. We are unique in our technique as we do not use fillers.

We can also assist with traditional lime plastering and repointing old properties such as listed buildings.

Within conservation areas and listed buildings where a piece of material has decayed too far, we make and design identical pieces in our workshop. The pieces we create are not only identical in appearance but even material as we can use the same timber as the original.

Our History

Barry Peers, owner and founder of Chester Conservation Joinery, has over 30 years of experience in joinery, cabinetry and restoring properties across the North West.

He is a time served cabinet maker and a qualified bench joiner having studied at Handbridge and Shrewsbury in 1987. Barry is extremely passionate about conservation joinery and offers excellent workmanship as well as attention to detail.
